Our New Haven campus is strategically located for outreach to the surrounding communities and are a refuge for drug and alcohol addicted people who participate in the structured, long term residential recovery program offered here.
Since 1996 Teen Challenge Connecticut has reached, rescued and restored adults and at-risk youth from the grip of drug and alcohol addiction by the power of Jesus Christ. The Teen Challenge residential recovery program provides an opportunity for drug or alcohol addicted adults (age 18 years and older) to find freedom from their life-controlling problems while learning new skills to help them live successfully in families, in their communities and churches and as productive members of society. Each part of the program strengthens the student and builds a foundation for fostering lifelong positive change.
Biblical values are taught in ways that can be practically applied in real life situations. Students develop character qualities of integrity, self-control and compassion. They develop positive life skills that will assist them in becoming esteemed employees, respected neighbors and dependable family members. Personal studies, class lectures, chapel services and job skills training all combine to assist the students in learning new life skills and developing new patterns of thinking and living. Fellow students encourage each other as they become a strong family unit growing and changing together.
Faith based with a success rate that surpasses other programs, family type atmosphere, sliding scale fees
